First, our ANJET family would like to extend a HAPPY AND SAFE HOLIDAY TO ALL!
Okay, let’s get right to it …
SHOUT OUT OF THE MONTH
Our #SOOTM goes to our FAA! The month began with a few odd shootings at the Haiti International Airport (resulting in an FAA travel ban there into December) and will conclude with the busiest air travel season on record! Let’s salute the FAA for keeping us safe and moving along in a very difficult environment! Much appreciated! #FAA
QUESTION FROM OUR FOLLOWERS
How do you handle “last minute reservations” during the crazy holiday rush? (Omar H., Shreveport, LA)
Thanks for the question, Omar. In the pre-Covid days, we would simply require a bank wire for the estimated total trip amount plus a credit card deposit for incidentals.
Nowadays, we require full cash prepayment for the entire trip amount along with a credit card hold for incidentals. (The exact hold amount will be determined by ANJET upon booking).
Of course, there is a more efficient method: the ANJET ExecuCard. With it, clients make a deposit (before asking for the last-minute trip) and the funds are simply deducted and applied to the request. We highly recommend this method because all charter trips are booked via a third-party aircraft operator.
Another factoid to keep in mind is that discounted prices for aircraft can only be secured with full payment to the operator. Without it, the price could change in minutes (just like your commercial seats!) and it is very easy to lose out to someone who is prepared to pay on demand.
BOOK(S) OF THE MONTH
We’d like to introduce our audience to two recommendations this month:
Business Adventures: Twelve Stories from Wall Street, by John Brooks (first published, ©1969)
This book provides a complete history of the creation of the stock market – and so much more!
– Bill Gates claims it was the “…best business book I’ve ever read!”
Paper Money: A Novel, by Ken Follett (©1977)
This is a fantastic mystery-thriller taking place in the world of high-finances, crime, and journalism. It will keep you on your toes, and, of course, what voracious reader doesn’t enjoy Follett’s smooth delivery and attention to detail!
That’s about it for now. Don’t eat too much this week, folks!
