3 NEW QUESTIONS FOR OUR CEO …

Our CEO, Anthony Newcombe, shares his latest …

QUESTION 1: WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE INTERNATIONAL CITIES AND WHY?

ANSWER: I’ve been all over the world, but one of my favorite all around cities is Hong Kong. I know there’s a lot of political turmoil right now, but I’ve never flown so far from home yet felt so at home as I did in HK. Essentially, I miss the culinary delights, fast pace, and cultural wonders of this amazing metropolis. I wish the best for HK and all of its people and look forward to returning again.

QUESTION 2: WHAT WAS YOUR STRANGEST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE?

ANSWER: Though I can’t reveal every strange experience while traveling, I DID, in fact, get kicked off a train in Italy. It was while studying in England on an extended weekend where I flew to Italy to meet some friends, who were studying in our Florence program. To make a long story short, I boarded a train in Venice without buying a return ticket. The ticket conductor didn’t come around to check until we were well on our way to Pisa. When he finally checked my tickets, I was caught and had to disembark in Ferrara. It was very cold and snowing, so I ended up buying a return ticket from there and made it back to Pisa for my flight to London.

QUESTION 3: WHAT ARE YOU READING THIS MONTH?

ANSWER: I just finished John Thompson’s autobiography with Jesse Washington, I Came As A Shadow . It is a great insight into the unique life of a legendary man. Currrently, I’m reading two books cut from a similar cloth, The Data Detective by Tim Harford, and Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Both works are right up my alley as far as trying our best to figure out how to navigate our way through this crazy world we live in.
