JUNE 18, 2025: IT’S SUMMER 2025 (JUST LOOK UP)
Q1: Who’s our #ShoutOut of the Month?
We would like to extend a BIG #ShoutOut to our #ANJETStaff. This has been a super-busy 2025 (with much more to come) so we really want to thank them for all of the hard work and support!
Q2: What is your take on the footage taken from missiles in the (middle east) conflict? (Aarohn G., Summerville, SC)
This is very disturbing from a “30,000-foot view.” Normally, we will announce (or simply list) countries to avoid flying above during potential/ ongoing conflicts.
LEBANON: SAXOPHONIST PLAYS WHILE MISSILES SOAR IN THE NIGHT SKY AROUND HIM
However, it seems that this has become almost too common a site. We never want to sensationalize safety, so let’s just hope that this type of “war footage” doesn’t cause any unnecessary deaths in the international skies we all share with each other.
Q3: What book(s) are you reading this summer?
Surrounded by Idiots (no offense) by Thomas Erikson. One would think this has everything to do with political grievances (concerning everyone other than US) – when, in fact, it could very well have been entitled Don’t judge a book by its cover.
The reason is it lays out HOW we interpret the thoughts and actions of those around us – and, of course, HOW they do the same to us. It takes a deep dive into four types of human behavior models (using the DISC Method of red, yellow, green, and blue types – which commonly explain our behavior. Some are hybrids of each other – while others are straightforward solid colors/behavior patterns. It’s a “must read” for bookophiles!
