Q: Congratulations!! What an achievement! Any “key travel nuggets” you can share with us from your 18 years in private aviation? (via FB, Kerry V., Ft. Lauderdale, FL.)
A: Kerry, thank you for your interesting question. The answer is: always maintain the backup plan to the main plan. We all get so immersed in planning our itineraries (esp. international trips) that we forget to ever plan for the inevitable: flight cancellations, weather hiccups, as well as many other unwanted instances. You always thank yourself when you take the time to plan for the “what ifs.” If not, well, we all know how painful that can become!
2) Additional services (other than flying)
Q: Does your business offer ground-based services in addition to booking private aircraft?
A: Yes, ANJET not only connects our clientele with available aircraft but also can assist in locating remote corporate getaways/ golf outings, difficult-to-get exclusive concert / big game tickets, as well as other unique excursions, etc.
We also have a vast international network of high-end hotel contacts, villa rentals, etc. We always welcome requests beyond flights to offer the fullest suite of concierge services for the luxury traveler.
3) Books
Q: What books did you read this summer?
A: I just completed Crossroads by former major league baseball player and manager, Dusty Baker. I always had great respect for Dusty’s achievements as well as his personality – and thought it would be nice to learn about his thought processes “behind the scenes” – both on and off the field. It was a nice read, and I recommend it to sports fans (who lived through Dusty’s era and followed the game).
